Rocky Mountaineer Vacations launches 2007 season with limited time vacation plus offer

January 16, 2007

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA (January 16, 2007) – In celebration of the 2007 season, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations is reintroducing Vacation Plus, a value-added offer available from now until March 16, 2007. When booking a minimum six-night rail vacation to Canada’s West and the Canadian Rockies, guests receive a $200 CDN/US per couple credit to further enhance their 2007 vacation plans. Guests can double the value and receive a $400 CDN/US per couple credit if they pay in full at the time of booking. Travellers can tailor-make their trip of a lifetime by using the credit towards extra hotel nights, car rentals, meals, airfare, additional packages and more.

“Travellers who take advantage of this special offer can add to their vacation at no extra cost and will have the flexibility to spend the credit as they wish,” says James Terry, Rocky Mountaineer Vacations’ Executive V.P. & C.O.O. “The $200 or $400 credit, can be put towards a meal plan, a limousine sightseeing tour, make a significant difference to the cost of a flight, or allow the guest to extend their holiday by adding on extra hotel nights.”

Vacation Plus applies to a wide selection of packages ranging from indulgent holidays and adventurous vacations to independent rail and drive tours. Guests may decide to select the ever-popular 7 night-8 day Western Explorer package, which features the spectacular Rocky Mountaineer train journey between the coastal city of Vancouver, B.C., and the Rocky Mountain destination of Jasper, Alberta, or the ten night-eleven day Grand Rail Circle package, which features three rail routes including the new Whistler Mountaineer train and the recently launched Rocky Mountaineer Fraser Discovery Route, a two-day, all daylight rail journey between Whistler, B.C. and Jasper, AB.

To take advantage of Vacation Plus, guests must book their six-night Rocky Mountaineer Vacation package (which must include the Rocky Mountaineer train) by March 16, 2007 for travel from June 1 to September 19, 2007. This offer is applicable to new bookings only and is not available in conjunction with any other promotion. The credit can only be used towards the purchase of additional services and not upgrades. Some restrictions apply.
