Vancouver, BC – Ever dreamt of hanging out with Feist, Avril Lavigne or Michael Bublé? This could very well happen onboard the Whistler Mountaineer train, which is one of a few BC items to be included in this year’s coveted JUNO Awards gift bag. The “swag” bag is given to the host, presenters, and performers at the 2008 JUNO Awards, which is held in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, April 6, 2008. It contains valuable Canadian products ranging from spa certificates, cosmetics, luxury clothing and high-end accessories. New this year is a return rail journey for two on the exclusive Whistler Mountaineer Glacier Dome Experience, which is a three-hour train trip between the cosmopolitan destinations of Vancouver and Whistler BC, valued at more than $600.
Lucky gift bag recipients will receive rock star treatment onboard the Whistler Mountaineer Glacier Dome coach, which offers panoramic views of stunning waterfalls, sparkling Pacific waters and snow-capped mountain peaks from full-length dome windows. Canadian music stars will also experience personalized service, spacious fully reclining seats and hear fascinating commentary on the regions through which the train travels. A hot gourmet breakfast and scrumptious afternoon tea, served on crisp white linens are offered to guests onboard.
Beginning this April, the exclusive BC Resident Special enables locals to experience the same red carpet treatment onboard the Whistler Mountaineer for a fraction of the cost and they may even spot a few celebrities along the way. >From April 1 to May 31, 2008, BC residents can book a return ticket onboard the Whistler Mountaineer Coast Classic Experience for as little as $125. For an additional $100, travellers may upgrade to the Glacier Dome Experience. This limited time offer must be booked during the 2008 season from April 23 to October 19, 2008.
