Day 1 Vancouver to Whistler
Travel onboard the Whistler Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, renowned for outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your motorcoach transfer from downtown Vancouver, the Whistler Mountaineer takes you on a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of this “Sea to Sky” region. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views across Howe Sound and of the Coast Mountains, Mount Garibaldi, and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. On arrival at the Whistler train station, you will be transferred to your Whistler hotel.
This afternoon enjoy a 30-minute flightseeing tour over magnificent glaciers and high alpine lakes. Marvel at the spectacular eagle’s eye view of Garibaldi Provincial Park and the rugged volcanic formations, lush alpine meadows and majestic glaciers that surround the deep blue alpine waters of Garibaldi Lake. Fly over the Whistler Village and the ski runs on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and enjoy Mother Nature’s peaceful solitude and beauty. Transfers between your accommodation and the float plane dock are included. Overnight in Whistler.
Day 2 Whistler to Vancouver
Enjoy a free morning exploring the picturesque mountain resort of Whistler on your own. Return to Vancouver this afternoon on a three-hour motorcoach tour along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. Watch for bald eagles circling over the Cheakamus Canyon, and travel through the breathtaking scenery of the Coast Mountains and Howe Sound. A sightseeing stop at Shannon Falls is made along the way. Your tour ends on arrival in downtown Vancouver.
