After a morning journey from Vancouver to Whistler onboard the Whistler Mountaineer, take a scenic gondola ride to the Roundhouse Lodge at 1,869 metres (6,030 feet), where you will find 360 degree views, snowy glaciers and volcanic rock formations. Included is an optional open-air chair lift ride to the peak of Whistler Mountain at 2,170 metres (7,000 feet). Return late-afternoon by motorcoach.

Day 1 Whistler Day Trip
Travel onboard the Whistler Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, renowned for outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your motorcoach transfer from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver, the Whistler Mountaineer takes you on a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of this "Sea to Sky" region. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views across Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Mount Garibaldi, and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. Breakfast is served onboard.
On arrival at the Whistler train station, you will be transferred to Whistler Village, where you will enjoy an exciting 20-minute ride to the top of Whistler Mountain. Here relax amid breathtaking views while enjoying a West Coast-inspired lunch at 6,030 feet.
Return to Vancouver this afternoon on a three-hour motorcoach tour along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway. Watch for bald eagles circling over the Cheakamus Canyon, and travel through the breathtaking scenery of the Coast Mountains and Howe Sound. A sightseeing stop at Shannon Falls is made along the way. Your adventure ends upon arrival in downtown Vancouver.
